The Wknd Sessions

#90 Jaggfuzzbeats

We first came across Jaggfuzzbeats earlier this year, coming to prominence through their open mic gigs and the release of their track ‘Hours’. Hailing from Shah Alam, Azrul Zainal (guitar/vocals) and Omar Aiman (drums) form the backbone of Jaggfuzzbeats, propelling the band with their instrumental chops and tight musicianship.

Crafting music that’s at once familiar and new, Jaggfuzzbeats blend good old rock ’n roll with distinctly unique harmonies.

Since our first encounter with the band, they’ve gone on to be featured on Juice Magazine, gained prominence through the release of their original material, and performed at a whole range of festivals and gigs throughout 2015.

In fact, we’re darn sure it’s these live performances that’s given Jaggfuzzbeats a reputation as a solid and entertaining act with a devoted following. This was evident during their performance at The Wknd Sessions Live, where they drew a vociferous crowd that included a short crowdsurfing segment!

We at The Wknd are quite chuffed by this relatively young band, and from what we’ve seen this year we’re quite certain Jaggfuzzbeats will be going the distance.
