Long Quiet ‘Talkless’ Now Writing New Material

Thailand’s Dreampop duo, Talkless have been awfully quiet since their 2009 release “Transparent-paper-memories”, perhaps even quieter than their subtle electronica sounds. We needy and greedy music fans who continuously want were getting pretty worried that the production of cliks, claks and the creative sounds used in the Talkless’ signature would cease before the duo could come and play live to fans in Malaysia, especially to listeners who favor the IDM/ambient-ish style like those of The Album Leaf or Efterklang.

Well, we were glad to receive from their label, SO::ON Dry Flower, what we would call good news. The duo that met in architecture school are in fact writing new material, but just aren’t performing live at the moment as one half of the outfit, Wtanya (who does vocals and keyboards) is currently in Japan continuing her architectural studies, while Bancha (programming, guitars) still resides in Bangkok performing guitar duties with his other band, Goose, and also producing other artists from across the Golok river.

While we wait in anticipation as they write fresh new stuff, checkout this video of ทัศนาจร (beautiful work by the directors whose names, huakom & ISE, must be mentioned) taken from their EP “Dot Dot Dot” and a track, an English one titled Miss Holiday, taken from their last full length album.
