Indonesian swing singer Dyah Rahmi Saraswati, popularly known as Aimee Saras is quickly becoming a rising name after digitally releasing her critically acclaimed singles, ‘To NY’, ‘It Was June’ and ‘Sleep Song For You’ this year, and what’s more – she never stops, not going a year without a full-length debut album, ‘Swingin’ Aimee’ which will be out this December 12 via iTunes. The 11-track album was primarily created by Aimee Saras herself, alongside music producer Aghi Narottama as music producer/director and music arranger, Doni Sundjoyo with the support of an array of talented musicians in Indonesia like Andy ‘Gomez’ Setiawan (piano), Indra Aziz, Brury Effendy (trumpet), Eugene Bonty (saxophone/clarinet), Alvin Witarsa (violin/viola), Hari Winanto (flute) and Othman Djuliarso (drum) under the record label, Rooftopsound Records.
Aimee has played in various musical shows in New York; ‘Damn Yankees,’ ‘If You Really Knew Me’ and off-Broadway shows such as ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Miss Saigon’. Upon her return to Indonesia, she has since been making appearances in several events like Java Jazz Festival, Potato Head Garage’s Great Gatsby party and performing for ‘Onrop! Musikal’ by Joko Anwar and musical drama, ‘Bawang Merah, Bawang Putih.’
