Awakening Studios Tenniversary Showcase



Awakening Studios celebrates their tenth anniversary this month and will be celebrating it with a gig with a strong lineup, with the likes of Daighila, Killeur Calculateur, The Metaphor, and Decades. The showcase will be held at the newly opened music venue in Taman Danau Desa, Live Fact (formerly known as Pink Fono Studio).

A 2 staged 2 day music and arts festival, Kawan Fest will feature a massive lineup, with local acts making the majority. Headlining the festival are Japanese ska outfit, Yum Yum Orange, alongside Radhi (of OAG), Y2k, Masdo!, the return of Hadi Jaafar (of Laila’s Lounge), and many more. The festival kicks off at 10 am on both days, with various activities happening throughout.

The latest installment of PIRING-PIRING will feature DJs Xes Xes Loveseat, Oddjobb, Yi & Kevin ( @kbnldancefloorhell ) carefully selecting the best tunes on their vinyl collections (and those of the vendors) for your listening pleasure. Thrown into the mix, Ali Aiman & Froya will be on the rooftop of Barlai for a closed door performance limited to 20 pax on a first-come-first serve basis.

Escape from the heat with pioneering icecreamists The Last Polka. Crzypuff and B’wiched will be there to put food in your hands. So you may feed yourself, of course. Pick up curios and socks at BOK TJUV and Medium Rare Store.
