Last October saw the release of the much talked about P Ramlee: Satu Indiepretasi tribute album, but only in the form of ringtone downloads. That bit of news saw countless people groaning and moaning for a proper CD of it to also be released. Well folks, your wish just came true courtesy of the good people at Laguna Records, as they’ll be releasing the compilation on CD this month.

The boys of Seven Collar T-Shirt are back with a new music video for their song Fragile, off their album The Great Battle. Like their previous video for Wild Child, this is again directed by Malaysian music video whiz Rewan Ishak. Always reliable when it comes to making good music videos, it’s another beautiful looking video with some pretty fancy looking visual effects as well (except for the dodgy looking broken shards of glass), nicely complementing the song’s dreamy mood. It’s that time of the year again for another instalment of Rock The World to rock the socks off all you kids nationwide. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the lineup sees the return of a lot of the festival’s regulars throughout their first 10 years like Love Me Butch, Seven Collar T-Shirt, Bittersweet, Republic Of Brickfields, One Buck Short, Pop Shuvit and loads more.

Show starts at 10am on Sunday 26th December 2010 at Car Park A, Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Admission is RM30, and tickets are available at Ticketpro Outlets (03-78807999), Rock Corner, Music Valley and at the venue itself.

Laundry’s nights of truly influential local lineups has been resurfacing lately, and this Thursday, loyal gig goers will be pleased with their selections of strong local acts plus some guests of the local music scene. Don’t miss the highly anticipated return of They Will Kill Us All, the mighty Seven Collar T and the powerful L.M.B.. Also with us that night will be Ozzy disco funk rockers Knight At The Discotheque and London based singer songwriter Kien Lim.

It’s surprising that it’s taken this long, but finally Malaysian legend P Ramlee gets a proper, full-on tribute album. An initiative by XFM and Astro (and in keeping with the times), it’s quite unfortunate that the ‘compilation’ will get a digital-only release, which means that there’ll be no fancy cover art and booklet of essays and liner notes for us to pore over. Titled “P Ramlee… Dimanakan Ku Cari Ganti: Satu Indiepretasi”, even a cursory glance at the tracklisting should whet anyone’s appetite. Check it out below:

Malaysian power pop legends, Couple will be doing a 10 day tour to the UK this coming March. Organised by KNUKE, they’ll be rocking stages in Manchester, London and Liverpool. Unlike previous bands that went to the UK under the KNUKE banner (Hujan, SCTS, Estrella), Couple will be playing a couple (hehe) of additional shows in those cities.

Seven Collar T-Shirt have been actively playing in the Malaysian music scene since 2002, surpassing fads and other musical trends. Having released their previous album, Drones, in 2004, SCTS has gone through a line up change, and are set to release their long anticipated album later in the year.

This session, was recorded live at Greenhouse Studio in Ampang.
