Indonesian chiptune electronica and downtempo duo Bottlesmoker is back for another short tour of Malaysia, and this time they’ve set up a ‘secret show’ here that’s sounding pretty promising, with Malaysian electronica merchant Flica and fellow chiptune geeks Mikrobotmen set to open for them. There will also be a live canvas painting demo by Kenji Chai aka Black Fryday.

Show starts at 6pm on Monday, 28th February 2011 at Artisan Roast Cafe, Yayasan Seni Berdaftar, 333 Persiaran Ritchie, Off Jalan Ritchie, Ampang, KL. Admission is RM10. Check out the event’s Facebook page for more details.

Tenderfist have been collaborating with a number of musicians, most notably multi-instrumentalist Flica (at U’scapes 2010) and hip-hop artist Arabyrd (the recent Heineken Green Room).

Flica / Eu Seng Seto, armed with his array of sound programming mastery and electro-acoustic musicianship has received rave reviews for his second release, Nocturnal. Signed to local label Mu-Nest, his follow up record was released by Japanese label Schole earlier this year followed by a short tour to Macau and Taiwan.

Flica is one of those musicians that requires particularly intent and repeated listening, to fully appreciate.
