Zee Avi on her upcoming album, ‘ghostbird’

Having worked on it for the past year, Zee Avi will be releasing her sophomore album, ‘ghostbird’, this coming 23rd of August 2011. Released by Brushfire Records, you can hear glimpses of the songs in the video below, as she talks about the record.

Though it’s too soon to tell, with lines like “I may be tired and I’m spent / but my love will pay the rent” and that melody 1:10 into the video, ‘ghostbird’ (burung hantu in BM?) seems like a good follow up album and a promising record that we look forward to. Watch the clip below.
